Being a Charismatic is Good but.... Not Enough!

 A concerning thought 🧠✍️

Context: Extensively growing Sachai kendra movement in Nepal and their all works in Jesus' name yet religiously liberal conducts.

Concern: Many Christians in Pentecostal and Charismatic churches are curious about this growing movement as their healing activities have become a major attraction. Many have deep intense question regarding lack of healing in our churches but high rate of healing in this movement. So, what's going on?

Confused area: Believers are confused on this matter as the movement is promoting religious liberalism and yet they hold onto Jesus. So, where is distinguishable loop hole?

My opinion as a Pentecostal Christian:

First, I want to make it clear that I am a continuationist in the same order of definition of what a Cessationist is. I believe in healing, miracle, tongues, prophecy, vision and deliverance still continue today and until return of Christ. So, I am not against these unless they appear beyond scripture periphery.

Being a charismatic is good but not enough alone. A charismatic can fully enjoy the spiritual gifts and experience marvellous powers of God and yet be far from needy Biblical knowledge of the Lord. A charismatic person can be sincere and honest but deprived of foundational biblical teaching about God that makes salvation possible.

A charismatic can even view certain false teaching as minor issue just because they embrace Jesus but fail to realize how they are marketing a false Jesus. Jesus of the Bible who is Son of God offers salvation and not other Jesus who is either a guru or one of many deities or archangel or anything else.

Hence, we must be careful not to be a blind devotee just because we want to be closer to God. That's wonderful and appreciated but where and how we are heading on matters a lot in our journey.

Modern day false teachings are hence dangerous than those who came in the past. Be aware! We need intellectual discernment too! Don't just be blind charismatic!

Conclusion: Examine yourself how the Sachai movement founders view Jesus. Then, get into the Biblical knowledge of Jesus and dare to join them again. If anyone joins them despite knowing the bitter reality, make sure you are trading your Savior with your own desires.

Caution: Do I reject Charismatic elements? No!

Have I witnessed healing? Yes, I am a living testimony of it.

Have I witnessed deliverance? Yes, demonic activities are as real as gravity and many circumstances are there where peoples have suffered and some are delivered while some are not.

Have I witnessed tongues? Yes, both earthly language for Gospel and private prayer languages exist even today.

Have I witnessed vision or prophecy? Of course! And they have come true in real times.
