Happy New year 2082 to all Nepali Christians!!!!

1) Was Jesus God also on earth? I wonder, being such a powerful God, how could he live a normal human life on earth?

Wow, what a cool question! Yes, Jesus was fully God even when He lived on earth, but He chose to live like a regular person to show us His love! Think of it like a superhero who lives a normal life by limiting all his powers (like Superman-Clark) or a king who dresses as a regular kid to be your friend. Jesus didn’t use all His God-powers all the time—He got hungry, tired, and walked around like us (Phil. 2:7). But He was still God inside, full of God’s love and power (Col. 2:9). The Bible says He became human to be close to us, like moving into our neighborhood (John 1:14). Isn’t it amazing that the Mighty God came to live with us to save us? (Isa. 9:6)

Scripture Support:

John 1:14: “The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the one and only Son, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth.” Jesus is fully God and became fully human.

Colossians 2:9: “For in Christ all the fullness of the Deity lives in bodily form.” Jesus remained fully God on earth.

Philippians 2:6-8: “Who, being in very nature God, did not consider equality with God something to be used to his own advantage; rather, he made himself nothing by taking the very nature of a servant, being made in human likeness…” Jesus humbled Himself to live as a human.

Hebrews 2:17: “For this reason he had to be made like them, fully human in every way, in order that he might become a merciful and faithful high priest…” Jesus’ human life enabled Him to relate to us.

Isaiah 9:6: “For to us a child is born… and he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God…” Jesus is both human and divine.

Bonus for Curious Kids!: Want to know more about how Jesus could be God and human? It’s like a super cool mystery called the “incarnation.” The Bible says Jesus was always God but chose to add a human side, kind of like putting on a jacket to join us (John 1:1-2). He did miracles, like healing people, to show He was God (John 10:38), but He also felt sad and prayed, like us (Heb. 4:15). Imagine if your favorite hero, like Superman, chose to walk with you instead of flying—that’s what Jesus did! Why? To understand us and save us. Check out Hebrews 2:17 with your family to see how Jesus became like us to help us. What other stories in the Bible show Jesus acting like God or a human?

2) Does the world history acknowledge Jesus’ crucifixion and resurrection?

That’s a super question! Yes, history totally says Jesus died on a cross—people back then, even those who weren’t Christians, wrote about it! The Bible tells us Jesus died for our sins and came back to life on the third day, like the best news ever (1 Cor. 15:3-4)! Some history books don’t talk about Jesus rising because it’s so amazing, it’s hard for them to believe without seeing it. But the Bible says lots of people saw Jesus alive again—like His friends and even 500 people at once (1 Cor. 15:6)! It’s like if your favorite superhero came back and everyone cheered. We trust the Bible because it’s God’s true story, and it shows Jesus beat death to save us (Luke 24:46)!

Scripture Support:

1 Corinthians 15:3-6: “For what I received I passed on to you as of first importance: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day… and that he appeared to Cephas, and then to the Twelve. After that, he appeared to more than five hundred…” This affirms the resurrection with eyewitnesses.

Luke 24:46-47: “He told them, ‘This is what is written: The Messiah will suffer and rise from the dead on the third day…’” Jesus’ death and resurrection fulfill Scripture.

Acts 1:3: “After his suffering, he presented himself to them and gave many convincing proofs that he was alive…” Jesus proved His resurrection.

John 19:35: “The man who saw it has given testimony, and his testimony is true… so that you also may believe.” The Gospels record eyewitness accounts of the crucifixion.

Bonus for Curious Kids!: Curious about why Jesus’ resurrection is so special? The Bible says it’s the biggest proof He’s God’s Son (Rom. 1:4). Here’s something cool: Jesus’ enemies knew He said He’d rise, so they put guards at His tomb (Matt. 27:62-66), but it was empty anyway! His friends didn’t believe it at first either—they were shocked (Luke 24:11). Plus, Roman soldiers checked He was really dead (John 19:33-34). It’s like a puzzle: no one could move the big stone or trick everyone, so Jesus really rose! People like Paul, who didn’t like Jesus at first, met Him and changed (Acts 9:3-6). Have a read John 20:24-29 about doubting Thomas and see what convinced him!

3) What is heaven and hell like?

What a wonderful question! Heaven is an amazing place where God lives, full of joy, love, and beauty—like the happiest adventure ever! The Bible says there’s no sadness, no pain, and no tears in heaven, just God’s light shining everywhere (Rev. 21:4). Jesus is getting it ready for us, like a perfect home (John 14:2). Hell, though, is a sad place where people are far away from God’s love, and it’s not fun at all—it’s like missing out on the best party forever (Matt. 25:46). But here’s the good news: Jesus loves us and wants us to be with Him in heaven (2 Peter 3:9)! When we trust Jesus, He promises to take us there. Want to tell your friends about Jesus so they can come too?

Scripture Support:

Revelation 21:4: “‘He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.’” Heaven is free of suffering.

John 14:2-3: “My Father’s house has many rooms… I am going there to prepare a place for you… I will come back and take you to be with me…” Heaven is a prepared place with Jesus.

Matthew 25:41, 46: “… ‘Depart from me, you who are cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels.’… Then they will go away to eternal punishment…” Hell is separation from God.

Luke 16:22-23: The rich man in Hades “was in torment,” contrasting with Lazarus’ comfort, showing hell’s distress.

2 Peter 3:9: “The Lord is… not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.” God desires all to choose heaven.

Bonus for Curious Kids!: Wondering more about heaven and hell? Heaven’s so awesome, the Bible says it has streets like gold and gates like pearls (Rev. 21:21)—better than any palace in Nepal or fictional beautiful world of fairy tale stories! It’s where we’ll see Jesus face-to-face (1 Cor. 13:12). Hell’s different—it’s not just fire but feeling totally alone without God’s goodness (Luke 16:23). God made hell for the devil, not us (Matt. 25:41), and He’s sad when anyone chooses it by saying no to Jesus. The cool part? Jesus beat sin so we can choose heaven! Look up Revelation 22:1-2 to see heaven’s river and tree—doesn’t it sound like a place you’d love? Why do you think Jesus wants us there?

4) If Jesus is God, why does John 3:16 say God sent His Son for our salvation? How could He Himself send here?

That’s such a smart question! The Bible says God is one, but He’s like a super special team: God the Father, God the Son (Jesus), and God the Holy Spirit—all one God but different roles (Matt. 28:19). Think of it like your favorite band—one group, but each person plays a part! In John 3:16, God the Father sent Jesus, His Son, to earth because He loves us so much. Jesus is fully God, just like the Father, but He came as a person to save us (John 1:14). It’s a big mystery, and God’s way bigger than our brains can totally get (Isa. 55:8), but it shows how much He loves you—He sent Jesus to be your hero (John 3:16)!

Scripture Support:

John 3:16: “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.” God sent His Son out of love.

John 1:1, 14: “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God… The Word became flesh…” Jesus is God and distinct as the Son.

Matthew 28:19: “…baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.” The Trinity is one God in three persons.

John 10:30: “I and the Father are one.” Jesus and the Father share the same divine nature.

Isaiah 55:8-9: “‘For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways,’ declares the Lord.” God’s nature is beyond full understanding.

Bonus for Curious Kids!: Want to dig into this God mystery more? It’s called the Trinity—one God, three persons, like water being liquid, ice, and steam but still H2O! God the Father planned to save us, Jesus came to do it, and the Holy Spirit helps us believe (John 14:16-17). Jesus said, “I and the Father are one” (John 10:30), so He’s totally God, but He’s also the Son who obeyed His Father’s plan. Imagine a Nepali family working together to build a house—different jobs, same love. That’s kinda how God works! Check out John 17:20-21 where Jesus prays about being one with the Father. What do you think makes Jesus so special as God’s Son?
