Recommended Book Review: How (Not) to Read the Bible, Dan Kimball

It is not surprising that critiques usually mock Christians for believing a book that sounds so crazy with fantasies, so unfair with anti-woman prescriptions, so dictating with slavery, so insane with unscientific descriptions and so terrible with violence.

To a fresher in Christian journey, the scripture seems to be a document of suffocation led by irrational, illogical, unscientific, discriminative, fictional and violent mind-set. This puts one’s brain to ponder deep through the revelatory book to explore why an inspired book has such contents in it.

The book verily addresses present disturbing contents seem to be taught by an Inspired God’s Word regarding unbelievable subjects such as mythical animals such as Unicorn, talking snake, woman out of a man’s rib; support on horrible inhumane aspect such as slavery; propagation of violence; instructing rules against woman leadership and status; unscientific Genesis account and horror picture of God.

Dan Kimball has done an excellent work with a core phrase- “Never read A VERSE”. He then takes us into an amazing journey how all those weird things embedded in an Inspired Divine Book totally makes sense from a wider context! He alerts readers where we catch the Bible wrong and how Not to read it!

Ultimately, this book helps us to recognize the scripture as totally infallible and divinely inspired book if we take correct bearing and direction of our flight!
