Curiosity: Does the Bible say anything about age of the creation? Part 3

Finally, my personal conclusion after my study on this field since 2014 rests open. I had already prepared a peer reviewed document using Latex software on it available at https://apologeticsimpact.blogspot.com/2020/11/a-study-material-on-creation-view.html where I have thoroughly discussed this issue.

The best way to understand 6 days creation:

So far, some possible explanation I have concerned include:

Relative Time
Day-Age or Alternative Day-Age
Ideal time/ appearance of age
Framework (Analogical 24 hours days set as anthropomorphism pattern) and an Ancient Near East Polemic
Functional origin or Cosmic temple view

However, the six days of creation best fits the narrative analogy or pattern set for human work week as mentioned in Exodus 20:11. In this case, the days in Genesis are meant to be 24 hours day but, in its meaning, and not in a literally covered earth's clock. The 6 days are indeed God's working days expressed in framework of human work week. Next, a possibility that Psalms 90 has something to say about God's time i.e. thousands of years for him is like a day might also hold water.[1] This clarify that the six days from God's perspective are meant for 24 hours of human work week framework but the days have unknown period of time passed on the earth during six days. scientifically, the history of earth until advent of human is so much parallel with biblical a/c of Gen.1.

Next, the Bible doesn’t have total world history rather the adequate history that concerns God’s purposed information. The scripture isn’t meant to provide details. Genealogies aren’t meant for calculation of ages. Furthermore, we aren’t sure how long the events of Genesis 1-11 were. Straightforward conclusion of a young age is hence a dogmatic and blur position. Whether young or old, the scripture is silent on it. Despite of significant differences, both of these positions should go together in defense of creation and historical reliability of Genesis.[2]

Hence, even if a believer believes 6 days as 24 hours, he doesn't make any error. However, one must be sure how the 6 days language has been used rather than taking hold onto hyper-literal interpretation.

Let not this subject be an issue of barrier on faith for any Christians. No matter what views we take, we all agree on core themes of Genesis!
