Just talking about Love
The world is filled and infiltrated
with various perspectives of people. The way how people analyze the world might
differ from one another. People come up with their own definitions and
understanding on any topic.
So, what about love? Perhaps the
religious pluralistic people usually claim all faiths are same because they all
teach about Love. Meanwhile, people have their own perspectives about love
depending on their survival and environment.

The
understanding and projection about Love widely differs from people to people.
Sometimes these understanding of Love is merely an external influence and our
reaction towards the environment we have been living. And that’s also my
opinion!
When we fall in love, we have
tremendous changes in life as if our DNA has been changed and hormones
evolving! There are changes in characters as if we have Split personality. We
begin to spend time in dreaming and fitting ourselves in imaginations! There is
rapid varied growth in attachment and affection towards the person whom we
love.
Some might call it merely an effect
of age and attraction but for the person it is merely love. Love makes us to
sacrifice ourselves for others. Love makes us unconditional regardless how the
person is. Love makes us to have patience regardless of our busy time. Love
makes us responsible, strict and accountable. Love brings forth grace and
mercy. Love brings justification, repentance, realization of our guilt and transformation.
Love leads to obedience and consideration. Love leads to trust and hope. Love
makes us to contribute for others’ life. Love makes us to learn from miserable
past and be cautious in our present living. Love makes the bonding stronger. It
takes away the emptiness of life.
Well, you’re correct regarding
which love I’m talking about and that’s normal for teens and young generation!
But let us just focus about the impact of Love. You forget everything and your
focus is all set on the person you love! You try to please the person and offer
contributions. You try your best to follow the person and never leave them in
any instance. The person whom you love becomes the world for you, prosperity
for you, joy for you, refreshing agent for you, catalyst for your life and
character build up for you! Regardless of life struggles, you become ready to
face every hurdle for sake of your loved ones. You might even sacrifice
yourself or you might have long lasting trauma, a never healing wound, when you
unwillingly have to lose your loved ones!
This is not just about personal
relationship but also true in our personal preferences. Loving sports, food,
movies, hobbies and so on. We’d love to spend time with them. We’d love to
follow them throughout the life. We’d love their rule in our life! We cannot
even withstand the loss! We always try best to be in image of the thing we love
so much.
Now, what about our personal love
with Jesus? The way we’ve loved the elements of this world, is our love towards
Jesus in the same degree at least or greater than that? Are we following Jesus
for sake of gains or because we do love him unconditionally? How much
importance, priority, space and time are we giving him in our life? The love
with the elements in this world might fade and fall away but his love doesn’t.
I think we need to learn from our
own character, attitude and impacts in life made by loving the things of the
world and come into the point of realization whether we have really loved our
Lord or not! We love him because he loved us first (Romans 5:8, 1 John 4:19,
John 3:16, etc.). Jesus wants our love towards God and towards our neighborhood
the way he loved us (John 13:34, Mark 12:29-31). This love never fails and
influences us more to love others and be a great influencer in this world!
Thank
you!
